Vanity Fair magazine has named the "50 Greatest Movie Soundtracks" in the issue which will hit shelves next month.

The Vanity Fair editors said the "Purple Rain" soundtrack was a flawless combination of "funk, R&B, pop, metal, and even psychedelia into a sound that defined the '80s."

Man that's a bunch of Hooey! What about Animal House, and Top Gun! But Purple Rain is a good sound track... Yep that will be my nexty itunes down load. I love you John Carter!! and you too Lenise. :-)
Purple Rain is the best soundtrack ever. I don't even care about the rest of the list!!
